Today I will be talking about fashion icons and the valuable lessons you can learn from them! If you are not too big into fashion trends- that's okay! Having a "fashion sense" does not mean wearing all the trendy and expensive clothes. Finding your individual style and expressing your uniqueness through appealing and interesting clothes is what I consider to be fashion sense. Outside of formal dress codes (school, work, special events, etc), try to have more fun with your style!

Rihanna (Robyn Rihanna Fenty) is a singer from Barbados. She was born on February 20th, 1988 and has successfully delved into creating her own make-up line and clothing line. Rihanna is not only one of the best-selling musical artist of all time but she has also gained notoriety for her fashion sense and has been titled as a fashion icon. 2. Victoria Beckham
Victoria Beckham (Victoria Caroline Beckham) is a singer, songwriter, and television personality from England. She was born on April 17th, 1974 and has been married to the well-accomplished soccer player David Beckham since 1999. Victoria made her rise to fame in the 1990s as being Posh Spice in the biggest-selling female group, Spice Girls. Victoria has always been known for her great fashion sense and has worked with huge labels such as Dolce and Gabbana, Rocawear, Roberto Cavalli, and Reebok.
What you can learn: Try new styles as much as you can and find out what you love!
3. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (Rosie Alice Huntington Whiteley) is an English model. Born on April 18th, 1987, she is most famously known for being a Victoria's Secret Angel and has walked the runway since the age of 16. She is now married to the English movie star, Jason Statham. Rosie has not only received "Model of the Year" on more than one occasion but she can craft an amazing and unique style while off duty.
What you can learn: Casual fashion does not have to be boring!
4. Solange Knowles
Solange Knowles (Solange Piaget Knowles) is an American songwriter, singer, and performance artist. She was a back-up dancer for Destiny's Child for a small-time- which featured her older sibling, Beyoncé. Solange is known for her soft, beautiful voice and has created impactful and timeless albums. Furthermore, Solange is a fashion icon because of her unique fashion sense and her stance against minimalistic fashion.
What you can learn: Be bold and loud with your looks!
5. A$AP Rocky
A$AP Rocky (Rakim Athelaston Mayers) is an American rapper and songwriter. He was born on October 3rd, 1988 in New York City. He is part of the hip-hop collective known as A$AP Mob. Also, Rocky has many musical accolades from his critically acclaimed albums to BETS awards- he is undoubtedly a talented individual.
What you can learn: Layering and colour coordination can instantly give you a put-together look!
Cher (Cherilyn Sarkisian) is a singer, actress, and television personality. She was born in America on May 20th, 1946. Not only is she awarded artist, but she is also known as being the trendsetter in the 1960s popularizing the famous "hippie" style. A Time magazine writer referred to Cher as a "cultural phenomenon [who] has changed the way we see celebrity fashion".
What you can learn: There is always room for glamour!
7. Audrey Hepburn
Audrey Hepburn (Audrey Kathleen Ruston) was a British actress, model, and humanitarian. She was born on May 4th, 1929 in Belgium. In her young years, she studied ballet in Amsterdam. In 1949, she made her debut in the film and went on to act in several classic movies. Audrey is recognized as both a film and fashion icon.
What you can learn: You can never go wrong with a timeless and classy outfit!
Zendaya (Zendaya Maree Stoermer Colemen) is an American actress and singer. She was born in California on September 1st, 1996. She began her career very early as a child model and then transition into acting. Zendaya rose to fame through the Disney sitcom, Shake It Up. As an adult, Zendaya has been taking on more serious roles allowing her acting abilities to be showcased. Beyond her acting and singing talents, Zendaya has been noticed for her unique fashion sense and has designed her own clothing.
What you can learn: Don't be afraid to add youthfulness and vibrant colours to your looks!
9. Princess Diana
Diana, Princess of Wales (Diana Frances Spencer) was a member of the British Royal Family. Diana was born in England on July 1st, 1961. She was married to Prince Charles and had Prince William and Prince Harry. Diana was an international icon and activist and was known for her beauty, grace, and intelligence. Her glamour and fashion have stood the test of time and are still a topic of conversation.
What you can learn: You can always express your personality through your style- no matter the dress code!
10. Brigitte Bardot
Brigitte Bardot (Brigitte Anne-Marie Bardot) is a French actress and singer. Bardot was born in Paris on September 28th, 1984 and is known as the 60s sex symbol. Brigitte was an aspiring ballerina in her early life and began her acting career in 1952. In conjunction with her iconic and timeless movie roles, Brigitte's style is uniquely timeless and sexy.
What you can learn: Sexy outfits are not all about showing a lot of skin!
